Planks may vary slightly in color and the pattern of each individual plank may differ. Weather can cause natural expansion and contraction of Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) flooring. Flooring planks can expand up to 2 millimeters per meter, meaning that the greater the square footage, the more expansion space is required. We recommend allowing a gap of 10 millimeters around the perimeter of your room and around any irregular spaces for product expansion. Please take extreme care when adjusting your planks. You should use the same care for installing planks as you would when you are adjusting them. If not, the plank(s) could be damaged and will alter the look of your floor. If your flooring is not properly installed, it may void your warranty.

• We recommend storing and/or installing in a constant climate from 40°F - 105°F
• Clean and clear any debris to ensure a smooth surface environment

Important Reminder For Installation

• Do not use excessive force when adjusting your flooring planks! It’s the most common error made during installation. Your floor can be disassembled and adjusted easily. Be sure to disassemble in reverse-chronological order. Start with the last piece you inserted, which is on top and end with the first piece inserted, which is located on the bottom.

How To Measure Square Footage

• Calculate square footage by multiplying the length & width
  Example: 24’(Length) x 8’(Width) = 192 Square Feet
• We recommend adding 10% to the square footage. This will help cover waste, trimming,
  and future replacements.
  Example: 192 Square Feet x 110% (192 x 1.1) = 211.2 Square Feet

Subfloor Preparations

The subfloor surface must be smooth, dry, clean, and solid. Any adhesive residue must be removed prior to installation. The subfloor should be flat within an incline of 3 millimeters over a span of 4’. Use a leveler to check for evenness. Any uneven surfaces over 3 millimeters must be sanded or filled to even out the surface.

Voids or bumps on the subfloor may prevent flooring from interlocking.

Our flooring is 100% waterproof!

However, any moisture present needs to be dried prior to installation. Please allow newly poured concrete to cure for 60 days minimum. For cement foundations that are at ground level (at grade), apply a polyethylene layer with a thickness of 0.6 millimeters to help seal joints. This will help prevent moisture from seeping through and residue(s) from appearing on your floor.

Installation

1. 1. Start in one corner and proceed from the wall. Be sure the bottom side lip is pointing away from the wall.

1. 2. Lay the first row by interlocking the short ends by inserting the top side hook into the bottom side lip (similar to Tongue & Groove, but without the need for adhesive). To interlock planks, you must carefully drop the plank into place. Then, slightly tap until it “clicks”. The next plank (on the short end) needs to be lined up evenly. Drop the plank into place and tap until it “clicks” (repeat until the whole row has been interlocked together).

1. 3. Place the first row along the chosen wall and be sure to respect the 10 millimeter minimum gap by using spacers against the wall.

1. 4. The seams between planks must be tight with no visible gaps. Carefully pull the planks apart if the seams do not appear to be fitting. Please refer to “***Important Reminder for Installation” for information on how to properly adjust your flooring planks.

1. 5. Measure and mark the plank so you can start the second row. Use a straight edge/utility knife to score and snap the plank for proper fit.

1. 6. Interlock the first plank of the second row at a 15° - 20° angle. Interlock the next plank on the short side first. Be sure to leave it slightly disengaged from the long side. Then, slide the long side into place.

1. 7. Repeat the above steps until you have completed laying your floor.

1. 8. Make a pattern out of heavy paper for fitting planks around irregular objects. Place the pattern on the plank and trace. Then, cut along the lines using a straight edge/utility knife or heavy duty shears/scissors and lay the plank.

1. 9. Rooms that are up to 40’ (Length) or over 25’ (Width) will require an additional expansion joint. Expansion joints are required in doorways and between adjoining rooms or areas (where flooring is installed). Our moldings can be used to hide expansionjoints and help put the final touches on your flooring

The “Do Not’s”

• We do not recommend installing SPC Flooring over carpet
• We do not recommend installing in rooms or homes that are not climate controlled
• Not for outdoor use
• Do not install in sunrooms, solariums, or saunas. Excessive Sun exposure can cause expansion damage to your floor.
